Bitscrape worked with the Indian Railways to develop different Mircocontroller based systems for Indian Railways.

70% of Bhutan?s? economy depends on hydroelectric power generated in different hydroelectric plants. The amount of electricity that Bhutan can produce and the prospect of producing more depends on the level of precipitation in different hill areas and valleys. Bhutan needed to monitor the weather in different parts of the country to arrive at a good weather model to identify the levels of precipitation across the terrain.

• Monitoring of wind speed to analyze possibility of building wind farms on hill slopes.
• Monitoring of Solar radiation to understand crop pattern changes.
• Monitoring pollution levels to understand sources of pollution and changes to pollution levels.
• Monitoring afforestation to ensure forest percentages are retained.

Bitscrape designed, developed and manufactured custom Automatic Weather Station (AWS) Remote Terminal Units (RTU) to meet the data acquisition requirements. A typical AWS RTU is capable of reading signals from appropriate sensors for different weather parameters including :

• Temperature
• Relative Humidity
• Solar Radiation
• Evaporation
• Wind Speed
• Rainfall
• NO₂ / CO₂ Levels

The AWS RTU reads these data in configurable time intervals. The RTU has a user interface comprising of four lines of the alphanumeric characters and an eight key keyboard. All data readings are displayed along with the Real Time Clock Value. Apart from the regular display, a user can also check and configure scaling and effect values for individual data channels. The RTU has a slot in which an MMC/SD card can be inserted to store data permanently.

• Capability to monitor discrete parameters for precipitation, temperature, relative humidity and other parameters.
• Capability to store data along with time stamp to external storage mechanism.

Bitscrape is engaged by reputed clients for their design and development of whole current fully static Energy Meters. These Energy meters have been certified by BIS and ERTL as required. The energy meters are being developed as per requirements of different utility service providers in public sector as well as private sector. Bitscrape is also engaged in development of computerised fully automatic test benches for energy metering companies. Bitscrape also develops CMRI devices for energy meter communication. We also have developed BCS (Base Computing Software). We are currently engaged on development of 3 phase energy meters and pre-paid energy meters.
